GMD Gesture Control is an Android app designed to facilitate quick access to various functionalities and applications through customized hand gestures.

App Overview

GMD Gesture Control is an innovative application that simplifies the user experience through the use of personalized hand gestures. It empowers users to create a multitude of gesture shortcuts, enhancing the efficiency and precision of performing various tasks on their Android devices. Whether it's switching between running apps, navigating back to the home screen, or launching a specific application, GMD Gesture Control offers a streamlined solution.

Setting Up Gestures

Configuring gesture shortcuts with GMD Gesture Control is a straightforward process. Users are guided through a series of steps, starting with defining the gesture itself. After determining the basic gesture, users can customize the type of gesture (such as swiping down or sliding from left to right), and the number of fingers required to execute it. The application also allows users to specify the scope of the gesture, providing an option for the gesture to be effective across the entire screen or confined to a certain area.

Maximizing User Experience

GMD Gesture Control serves as an excellent enhancement tool for Android users who aim to maximize the usability of their devices. The application offers significant time-saving benefits, allowing users to create customized gestures for frequent tasks. For instance, users can develop a unique gesture for launching their favorite game or accessing their email inbox. All these customizations can be achieved in a matter of seconds, making GMD Gesture Control a powerful addition to any Android device.

Potentially dangerous permissions

  • CAMERA: Required to be able to access the camera device.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to read from external storage.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to write to external storage.

Other permissions

  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
  • BLUETOOTH: Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
  • BLUETOOTH_ADMIN: Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.
  • CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
  • GET_TASKS: This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting. If you don't request this permission, you will not receive the broadcast at that time. Though holding this permission does not have any security implications, it can have a negative impact on the user experience by increasing the amount of time it takes the system to start and allowing applications to have themselves running without the user being aware of them. As such, you must explicitly declare your use of this facility to make that visible to the user.
  • REORDER_TASKS: Allows an application to change the Z-order of tasks.
  • SET_WALLPAPER: Allows applications to set the wallpaper.
  • SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_SYSTEM_ALERT, shown on top of all other apps. Very few apps should use this permission; these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.
  • VIBRATE: Allows access to the vibrator.
  • WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS: Allows an application to read or write the secure system settings.
  • WRITE_SETTINGS: Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
  • android.permission.FLASHLIGHT
